Sheer fabrics soften light while keeping the view, light filtering options cut glare and add daytime privacy, room darkening reduces most light, and blackout blocks it almost entirely. The same window in the same house can want different answers depending on which room it belongs to, which is why we look at every one rather than pricing a house by the window count.
